About Alexandria Polk
Alexandria Polk is a high performing talent and people operations professional driven by values and purpose. Alexandria has over 12 years’ experience facilitating employee experience and people related processes, systems, and strategies with the last 7 years focused on delivering top talent and enabling strategy through an organization’s most valuable asset -- people. Alexandria's training and experience allows her to bring a systemic level approach to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Alexandria began her career with a progressive local government working to administer employee relations, facilitate employee benefits education, implement an HR/Payroll system, audit supplier diversity, and lead the team responsible for full life cycle recruiting, onboarding, retention, and a myriad of employee programs. Alexandria then led teams at a diversity recruitment firm working to connect top management and executive talent to premier employers in automotive retail, biotechnology, tech, real estate investment, and global philanthropy industries. In 2021, Alexandria founded Polk People Ops, LLC to support organizations with external people operations & recruiting needs.
Alexandria earned a Bachelor's of Science in Community Development from Central Michigan University in 2020 after taking one class at at time for seven years, while working full time. Alexandria lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her surprisingly delightful teenage daughter and their beloved senior Shih Tzu named Max.
